ABOUT

The Ambler Design/Build Institute engages architecture students at Temple University's Tyler School of Art+Architecture with the natural and human communities of which they are a part through making at the architectural scale. Through community engaged projects, candidates for a Masters in Architecture degree pursue the use of both hand making and digital fabrication techniques at Temple University's Ambler Campus in order to imagine positive futures for their school, their city, and their world.

LEADERSHIP
Jeff Richards is a registered architect whose work explores the potential of architectonic components such as material, structure and building envelope to both reinforce and transform conceptual approach.
A Tyler faculty member since 2021, he has previously taught a broad range of courses including architectural design, building technology, history, and theory. Richards leads the architecture, research and design practice RAD. His previous professional experience has involved a diversity of work encompassing many scales, programs and places while working for the firms of both Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
